Hard Luck Hounds was started in the summer of 2007 at Grandview Animal Hospital. We knew that connecting the excellent clients of Grandview Animal Hospital with deserving homeless pets would be a "win-win" situation.

Our first ever Hard Luck Hound was "Rocket", a young male beagle from Arkansas. He was quickly matched and placed in a wonderful home, the rest is history.

Hard Luck Hounds has two main objectives:
First, we try and take animals with medical needs that other rescue groups may not be able to provide.

Second, we obtain dogs from breeding facilities in Southwest Missouri which are no longer wanted or needed. We are able to bring these pets into the clinic, address any medical or behavioral needs, begin training and socialization and keep them safe while beginning the search for the perfect forever home.

Step 2: Download and fill out the appropriate application and contract forms from the list below.

Step 3: After completing the necessary forms, bring the forms with you when you come into the hospital.
